I’m Ann, a guide dog puppy raiser and the person behind Gentle Paws. I started this because puppy life is roughly 10% adorable cuddles and 90% wondering why your shoelaces have become a crime scene.

Gentle Paws is deliberately small and unhurried. No perfect-puppy nonsense, no shouty training scripts, and absolutely no promises that your puppy will stop stealing your socks overnight. Just gentle, doable steps for tired humans and small, enthusiastic dogs who are definitely not reading the manual.

Everything here is written for the evenings when your puppy has forgotten every rule they’ve ever learned, your houseplant has become public enemy number one, and you’re quietly Googling “is my puppy a small alligator?” Take what helps, leave what doesn’t.
